Membership Information

Purpose of Isle of Wight Business Development Group:

  1. To provide business networking opportunities for businesses within the local context of Isle of Wight County.
  2. To develop a positive business environment within our community through leadership, professionalism and education.
  3. To enhance the quality of life within our community by encouraging good practices and holding one another accountable for such practices.

How to join our group:

  1. Attend 1 or 2 of our meetings.  Contact any member and join us at one of our regularly scheduled meetings.  We meet every Tuesday at the Smithfield Bakery in Downtown Smithfield, VA:  Smithfield Gourmet Bakery & Cafe 218 Main Street Smithfield VA
  2. Read our policies below and consult with the membership to determine if you are a good fit with the group
  3. Download, Print, and complete the membership application
  4. Return the application by your 3rd meeting and turn it in to the membership committee with full payment of the annual dues ($100)
  5. Dues are as follows
    • $100 annually
    • $10 monthly
