In case you missed our last meeting, here are the notes.
27 Oct 2009:
We had a good meeting today. Louise gave an excellent presentation on advertising and handed out some wonderful products you can use to keep your business in front of your customers. There was a healthy discussion on the closing of International Paper in Franklin and its economic impact on the area. I have enclosed a paper on that subject so we can all appreciate the significance of the cascade effect into the community.
We are sad to announce that Matt Spring and Cheryl Melton will no longer be with us. Matt has adjusted his business model and is moving away from private computer repair. We will miss you both.
Next week Joe Pascucci will give the 10 minute presentation. Lets all make a special effort to support each other during these economic changes. Our club and what we are trying to do for each other has never been more important to each of our survivals. The network works, keep it energized. Think about the triggers you hear every week and when you hear one capture the opportunity for one of our members.
Have a great week. Bob
20 Oct 2009:
Not much to report. Eight members made it today. Sue will put out an e-mail with the 10 minute presentations for the upcoming weeks. Thank you Sue. Fred made an announcement that he had sent out dues statements. If you owe dues please pay with reasonable dispatch, the cookie cupboard is bare. Usually Fred can deliver the treasurers report that "we got money". Well, the report now is we "will have money". Thanks for your attention to that.
We had a great guest today, new comer to the area, Catherine Sharpe with Wachovia.
Have a great week. Always sell the network. Bring a guest. Respectfully, Bob

Training for today was about the "Sales Game". A game has a winner and loser and tricks to make the big score. Professional sales is about relationships, fairness and integrity. In professional sales both sides are winners. Sales is not a game, its a profession built on the principles of value, service, integrity and honesty. Good points to remember if a customer ever says, "hey I see you are in the sales game.
I have included Larry's message below on visitors day. Have a great week. Bob
-----Original Message----- From: Larry SAINT <lsaint52@msn.com> Sent: Sun, Sep 20, 2009 4:00 pm Subject: Visitor's Day
I'm sending this as a reminder that we have our visitor's day coming up on October 13.
You should be following these steps to ensure we have a successsful day:
This is our "ten most wanted" list for classifications:
Home Inspector Landscaper Property Management Bookkeeper Banker Electrician Florist HR Professional Business Broker Business Machines / Copiers
We should all choose 2 or 3 professions to invite. Focus on professions that would be good referral partners for your business.
Remember, experience shows if you invite 10 people, 3 will commit to coming and one will actually attend.
At our meeting Tuesday, I'm going to ask each of you what classifications you're inviting. Be prepared to talk about what you're doing to invite people to our visitor's day!
See you Tuesday.
Larry Saint
15 Sep 2009:
We had a great meeting with Sue Wheeler doing the 10 minute. Sue gave an interesting talk on refinancing and many reasons why you might decide to do that. We also had guests today from the Hair Stop on South Church Street. (Bruce invited them to come) On that subject, do not forget that Oct 13 in Guest Day. Line up some guests now for the 13th of October. Travel Dreams will present next week 22 Sept. Cindy will tell us all about cruises and Disney. Today we missed our friends Cheryl, Joe, and Tim. See you next week at the Bakery. Have a great week. Bob
8 Sep 2009:
We had a great turnout today. We very much missed seeing Cheryl and Mark. Bella Trowbridge gave a wonderful presentation on Title Insurance. There was a lot of discussion and good education on the subject. Next week Sue Wheeler will be our presenter. Don't be bashful, bring a guest. The meeting was brisk, educational and informative. (I love the gossip and catching up on current event's.) The meetings are a wonderful way to start the day and we actually finished early today. See you all next week and bring a referral for one of your fellow business partners. Remember the triggers for our success. If someone says any of the following you should think of someone in the group. Think about it. See if I am right.
Sue Wheeler wants to finance your new house or refi your existing house. She is happy to refi or finance anyone's house. She is not picky as long as they have decent credit.
Bella Trowbridge has the 10 minute presentation next week.
Harry Sharpley wants to put insulation in your attic and foam in your gutters. He can also kill pests, rodents, bugs, and fix leaks in the basement. Quite a guy.
Bruce Fischer can order you filters for your a/c or heating systems. He also cleans out bird nests, air ducts, coils and if your nice will hang your Christmas lights.
Fred Walls wants to insure you from head to toe and that includes your house and cars. He will even insure your spouse.
Louise Gray has got plastic stuff, printed stuff, ceramic stuff and wooden stuff to help you promote your business. She would love to provide some of this stuff to people going to trade shows to promote their business.
Andy Vaughan is the most versatile. He will remodel, repair, build from scratch and then he will wallpaper it, paint it or just leave it alone. You get a choice with Andy.
Tim Churchwell is selling mud. He will sell or list your home. He will sell you raw land or improved land. He will sell you a new house. Tim has a vast portfolio. Tell him what you need to do and watch it get done.
Clarence Hucks is an oil and gas expert. He sells anything that uses oil, burns propane or just blows and cools you off. He has an array of neat things and cool toys for the "man-cave". Need a self starting generator, he can fix you up.
Mark D'Etcheverry can advertise and promote your business. He can counsel you on how to improve your business model. He can tell you all about the Internet in 600 seconds. The man is amazing. You want more customers and leads? Call Mark and let him work some electronic magic.
Bob Cole wants to sell some cars and service some cars. If you need a new or used car, want to scale up or down, check with "Bob the Car Guy."
I noticed that Dale's business is not listed on the sheet. Dale wants to build affordable homes. Know someone moving to the area who needs a hurricane proof pre-fab quality home? Dale is your man to provide the home of your dreams. Call Dale .....
We had a great meeting and some fun along the way. If your not listed here it is because you were missing and no one told us what you need. Need your face in the place for your business to grow.
All the best until next week, Bob the Car Guy
P.S. DO NOT FORGET 2 VISITORS DAY OCTOBER 13TH AND OUR BOOTH AT ISLE FEST OCT 7TH ...... Meet visitors at the Fest and invite them to the meeting on the 13th. Wow what a concept.

18 Aug 2009:
We had a great meeting today. Excellent presentation by Bruce Fischer.he talked about fungus, allergies, dander, health issues, dust, HVAC cleanliness, mold, mildew, musty smells, dead animals, headaches, pets, sneezing, breathing, air vents, roto brushes, birds, coils and snakes. Bottom line - if you do not clean your vents and air ducts you are going to live in a dusty, stinky house and have lots of allergies. Call Bruce and clean those air ducts. (And you thought I wasn't listening)
We decided to book the Chamber After Hours for the Month of February 2010.(Next available)
Cindy reviewed the leads, guests and attendance for July. There's always something to improve on if we are to move forward.
Next weeks speaker is Larry Saint 25 August/followed by Mark D'Etcheverry 1 Sept
I will be on vacation next week, so Larry will e-mail you.
Have a wonderful week..............Bob Cole
